Creative Play Center Philosophy Creative Play Center was developed with the intent to promote the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child. While striving to attain maximum development in these areas, our overlying concern is with the child’s self esteem. Our curriculum provides the child the opportunity to discover themselves in relation to the outside world. We set the scene to which the child reacts, placing minimum restrictions on his spontaneous feelings and behavior. We provide a safe and nurturing environment, where the child is allowed to learn at his own pace and in his own way. Only when your child knows about himself can he extend himself to others By sharing in your child’s preschool experience, you can help him or her grow to feel secure and ready for future school involvement. By observation of your child’s play and interaction with other children, as well as consultations with our trained staff, parents can better evaluate their child’s development. Our goals are that the child will: - Enjoy school.
- Learn to care for his physical needs: clothing, toileting, hand washing, etc.
- Be able to follow simple routines.
- Be challenged by new skills.
- Have opportunities for many successful experiences.
- Begin learning to respect others as people.
- Sense that he is a worthwhile, competent individual and capable of being a member of a group
